In my inflatable series, Swollen, I created a 5x10 meter sculpture in a form that resembles a thorny bird of paradise with a hanging vagina. The towering size of the inflated sculpture is immersive and guarded by long black and white spikes that strike out into the air. The colors and pillow-like softness of the inflatable draw the user to come closer and inspect the sculpture despite its protective spikes.
